User or performer account
Sweetly’s two account types: what viewers can do, what publishers can do, and what it takes to become a performer.

Sweetly has two account types, and you choose one when you sign up. A user account is for watching, following and supporting performers. A performer account is for publishing photos and videos, going live and earning. Your account type is shown on the Account page.

The user account
It’s the viewer’s account. It takes a minute to create, with no documents, and gives you everything the platform offers on the audience side: the feed, live shows, private sessions, Fan Clubs, messages. Your menu includes Following, Fan Club, Messages, Tokens, Settings and Support.
On other people’s pages you appear with your username and the display name you choose, never with your personal details. To get started, read What tokens are and how to buy them.
The performer account
It’s the account of those who work on the site. On top of everything a user can do, its menu has the tools of the trade: Posts, Live, Followers, Earnings, Fan Club, Payouts and Restrictions and blocks.
Before you can publish, go live or get paid, there’s the application: five steps with profile, personal details, ID document, selfie holding the document and signing the collaboration contract. Our team reviews it by hand, usually within 24-48 hours. Meanwhile you can prepare your profile, but the items that earn money stay switched off, with a note explaining why. There’s also a third type, the studio account, for agencies that manage several performers: it’s enabled on request, by writing to support.
Moving from user to performer
A user account doesn’t turn into a performer account: they’re two different paths from sign-up, because a performer account comes with identity verification, a contract and payment details. If you already have a user account and want to start publishing:
- Sign out of your account.
- Open Become a performer and press Create your profile for free, or go to Sign up and choose Performer.
- Use a different email address from your user account: each email works for one account only.

Frequently asked questions
As a performer, can I also watch other performers?
Yes. A performer account can follow, unlock content, send tips and join other performers’ Fan Clubs, exactly like a user.
Does becoming a performer cost anything?
No. There are no sign-up costs or fixed fees: Sweetly only takes a commission on what you earn. The scale is in Earnings and commissions.
Can I switch back from performer to user?
An existing account’s type can’t be changed. You can, however, stop publishing and going live whenever you like, or close the account and open a user one.
Can people see my real name?
No, in either case. The site only shows the username and display name you choose. The first and last name from your application are seen only by our team, for verification.
