On Sweetly you go live from the browser, on computer or phone, without installing any software. You offer up to three rooms — the public room, free, the group show and the private session, both paid per minute — and you decide prices and audience. Here’s everything, from the settings to the End button.

Enabling live shows

Live shows are turned on in Settings, Visibility tab, with Enable live. The Live item appears in your menu, taking you to your studio: the Live page. Your application must be approved.

The studio has four tabs: Live, where you go on air; Private sessions, with incoming requests; Schedule, the calendar of upcoming live shows; Settings, where you set up rooms and prices.

The three rooms and prices

In the studio’s Settings tab you choose what to offer. Rates apply from your next live shows: the current one doesn’t change.

RoomHow it worksPrice
Public roomAlways free: it’s your shop window. You earn from tips and by bringing people into private or groupFree
Private LiveOne user at a time, just you and themFrom 25 to 100 tokens a minute
Group LiveSeveral paying users togetherFrom 10 to 50 tokens a minute

For the public room choose Who can watch: Everyone, Users only (people with an account) or Fans only. For the group room choose Who can join — Tokens only, Fans only or Everyone — and the Maximum paying users to accept, at least two.

Private and group are switched on with their own toggle and stay off until you set a rate. If you enabled live shows without prices, the site reminds you: the public room works anyway.

In private sessions you can also choose to let the user turn on their camera and microphone: they never switch on by themselves, the user gets the offer and decides.

Before going on air

In the Live tab:

  1. Room rules — optional: they’re pinned at the top of the chat for the whole show, so you don’t have to repeat them every time someone comes in.
  2. Broadcast tags — up to 4: people find you in the categories while you’re on air. The site remembers your choices for next time.
  3. Camera and microphone — check framing and light in the preview. The first time, your browser asks for permission: allow it. If you read Permission denied, enable them in your browser settings and reload the page.
  4. Room type — Public or Group, and who can join for this show.
  5. Press Go live.

Tips that make the difference

  • Light in front of you, not behind: backlight darkens your face even with a good camera.
  • Home Wi-Fi rather than mobile data: a connection that drops interrupts the room for everyone.
  • Greet people by name and answer in chat: it keeps them longer than picture quality does.
  • Recognise your Fans: in chat they carry their level badge.
  • Specific tags, not generic ones: they’re how people find you while you’re on air.

During the show

At the top of the studio you see the counters: Users, Live earnings, Tip earnings and Time on air.

  • Camera and microphone can be turned off and on at any time; the red indicator shows which one is off.
  • Add a goal: a target in tokens with a title — “new camera” — that fills up with the evening’s tips. It lasts as long as the show.
  • Who's in the room: the list of users, with Remove to send someone away.
  • If your upload connection is weak, the studio warns you that viewers may see you stuttering.
  • If the connection drops, the room goes into Reconnecting: it’s paused and nobody is billed until you’re back.

Private session requests

Requests arrive in the Private sessions tab, in order of arrival. For each one you see the rate, how many tokens the user has — meaning how many minutes it can last — and how long you have to reply.

  • Accept opens the confirmation: choose whether to allow the user’s camera and microphone, and the session starts right away.
  • Decline frees the slot for another request.

While you’re in private, your public room pauses and resumes on its own when you end the session. The session ends when you end it, when the user ends it or when their credit reaches zero: you don’t need to worry about getting paid.

Moderating the chat

Tap the name of someone writing in chat to view their profile, mention them, or:

  • Mute for a minute — they can’t write for sixty seconds. On the third mute they’re blocked from your chat automatically.
  • Block from chat — they can no longer write in your chat. Staff receive a report with the latest messages, and can lift the block explaining why.

To shut someone out of everything — profile, content, messages — use Restrictions and blocks.

Ending the show

Press End: the room closes for everyone and stops counting time and earnings. If you leave the studio without ending, the show stays on: the site reminds you before letting you go.

The numbers for every show — minutes, earnings, users, peak, private sessions — are in Earnings › Live: see Earnings and commissions.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need software to broadcast?

No. You go live from the browser, on computer or phone, with your device’s camera and microphone.

How much can I charge for a private session?

From 25 to 100 tokens a minute; group shows from 10 to 50. Rates are changed in the studio settings and apply from your next shows.

What happens to the public room when I accept a private session?

It pauses, and viewers read that you’re in a private session. It resumes on its own when you end the session.

If the connection drops, does the private user keep paying?

No. During reconnection the room is paused and nobody is billed.

Can viewers see me without an account?

It’s up to you: for the public room you choose whether everyone can watch, only people with an account, or only your Fans.
