Privacy and safety for viewers

On Sweetly you appear with the name you choose, and your personal details are never visible. Performers do see some information, though — how much you’ve spent with them, for example — because it helps them recognise who supports them. Here’s, plainly, what’s visible and to whom, and how to protect yourself.

What people on the site can see

Publicly, only this is visible about you:

• the username and display name you chose;
• your profile photo, if you added one — otherwise the initial of your name;
• what you write in public: comments on posts and lines in the live show chat.

Your email, date of birth, payment details and exact balance are never visible.

What the performer sees on top of that

Whoever publishes sees a little more information about the people who support her. It’s only fair you know beforehand.

Other viewers in a live show also see the tips you send in that room, because they appear in chat, and under a post there’s the list of people who sent a tip.

If you’d rather stay more in the background: don’t follow the performer (you can still watch her), and use a username that doesn’t make you recognisable.

Discreet payments

• Your statement only shows the token top-up, with a description that can be discreet and never names any performer.
• Sweetly doesn’t store your full card details.
• For push notifications and emails you choose what to receive in Settings › Notifications: if you use a shared device, turn off the ones you don’t want others to see.

Spotting scams

The most common scams always follow the same patterns. Be wary of anyone who:

• asks you to pay outside Sweetly — bank transfers, gift cards, crypto to a private address — with any excuse;
• offers you free tokens or discounts in exchange for your password or a code;
• claims to be Sweetly staff in chat or by email and asks for your sign-in details: staff never ask for them;
• sends you links to pages imitating Sweetly: only sign in at sweetly.net.

Paying outside the platform is forbidden by the Terms precisely because we can’t protect you there: no refunds, no checks on who’s on the other side. Always report anyone who suggests it.

If something goes wrong

Reports go to the moderation team and are anonymous for the person reported. How they work is explained in Report content or a user; the tools to mute and archive are in Block a user or a country.

Frequently asked questions

Can performers see my real name or email?

No. They only see the username, display name and profile photo you chose.

Can the performer see how many tokens I have?

Not the exact number. In a live show she sees an indicative band, for example “over 500 tokens”. When you request a private session she sees how many tokens you have, because it tells her how long it can last.

Can other users see how much I spend?

They see the tips you send in a live show, because they appear in chat, and your name in the list of people who tipped a post. They can’t see your balance or your total spending.

A performer asked me to pay her outside Sweetly: what do I do?

Don’t do it, and report the message. Payments outside the platform are forbidden and unprotected: if something goes wrong, we can’t help you.
